- 1 lb mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, crab meat)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for another minute to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Gently fold in the mixed seafood.
- Pour the seafood mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and olive oil. Sprinkle evenly over the seafood.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the seafood is cooked through.
Notes
- You can substitute other seafood like fish or mussels.
- For an extra cheesy gratin, add Gruyere or cheddar cheese to the sauce.
- Garnish with extra parsley before serving.
