Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, toss the pecan halves with the melted butter until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered pecans and toss gently to coat.
- Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until fragrant and slightly toasted.
- Let the pecans cool completely on the baking sheet. They will crisp up as they cool.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of nutmeg or allspice to the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Store cooled pecans in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- These make a wonderful homemade gift. Package them in decorative bags or jars.
